Over time, certain files or cached data by the application can get corrupted and prevent the application from opening. Corrupt Installation: It is possible that the installation of “Adobe Acrobat Reader” has been corrupted due to which the application is facing issues during the launch process.Certain configurations might be incompatible with the operating system and they might cause conflicts during the launching process. Preferences: In some cases, the applications preferences are configured incorrectly.I installed the 9.5.0 Successfully and it works perfectly. Task Manager shows two AcroRD32.exe* instances after attempting to start Reader. After the second installation I deleted all the files in the Program Files (x86) folder and tried a repair. A second identical installtion gave me the same results. The action I have taken so far is to completely uninstall (using MS Programs and Features) and to follow that up by manually removing all Acrobat folders from all Program Files, Program Data and the user AppData directories. This is the only Adobe product installed. This is a new install and nothing but the OS, MS Office, MS Security Essentials and Java are installed. The environment is Windows 7 Enterprise 圆4. It says, "Acrobat failed to connect to a DDE Server". When the error is left on the screen, after several minutes a second error appears. The error: Acrobat doesn't launch from the desktop icon with the error, "An Internal Error Occurred". It was installed exactly as the onscreen instructions state. Installation was done from the web server, from the Downloads link. I was, however, able to uninstall completely and reinstall.
